Updated CCG budget allocations for 2013/2014 and 2015/2016

Concentra - CCG OverviewOn my previous blog post "New Proposed Clinical Commissioning Groups", I created a series of visualisations that looked at proposed funding for the newly created Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG).

New funding allocation

On December 18th 2013, NHS England published new funding allocations that CCG’s will receive over following 2 years. According to the news bulletin, CCG funding will increase from approximately £63bn in 2013/2014 to £67bn in 2015/2016.

The published figures have been calculated using a “new funding formula for health commissioners that will more accurately reflect population changes and include a specific deprivation measure,” with the aim of tackling health inequalities. Given the newly available data, I have updated the visualisation that I previously created.

Select the year that you are interested in and take a look at total funding allocations, per patient figures and year on year funding growth across different regions.
