Concentra has been central to the creation of a ‘Google’ for the Healthcare Commission and will be carried over into CQC which begins formal operations in April 2009. The tool, the Info Cabinet, helps staff keep track of the hundreds of internal and external news feeds, Web sites and databases they need to oversee such vital tasks as tracking NHS hospital’s efforts to combat life-killing superbugs like C. difficile. The system – built on Microsoft SharePoint Server and using Concept Searching enterprise search product – has already been used with great success by the Healthcare Commission (HC).
